I’ve been working on my school planning again this week. Creating my matrices was harder than previous years because I planned such a large Circle Time, something I haven’t done in years. I had this dreadful fear I planned too much. But then I remembered: I prefer to plan too much rather than too little because I find cutting so much easier than adding.

    This month in 2016:

Oh yes! This is still my top advice for school planning, especially if you’re a Low Energy Mama. ♥ This week, I did my planning for A-Age-13. Next week, I’ll do a couple more kiddos. Now that I’ve figured out my best way of planning, it’s super simple, and all I need to do is set the time aside.

    This week’s links collection:

    • Kerrygold Class Action Says ‘Grass-Fed’ Cows Claims are Misleading from Top Class Actions
      • “During certain times of the year, Kerrygold feeds its cows … grains…” As someone who has raised dairy goats, I’m going to go out on a limb and speculate that this “certain time of year” is called winter. My milk was still grass fed. WHY? Well, my goats didn’t produce milk in the winter. When it gets cold enough, it is hard for grass to sustain the animal, and we found that adding some high quality grain (goats adore barley, for example) help them with their increased caloric demands. (Put in plain language: they need more calories to help them stay warm.)
      • My guess is someone just wanted to do a lawsuit. We buy Kerrygold for one big reason: It tastes better than any other butter we’ve tried.
    • INL specialists left plutonium in their car. In the morning, it was gone from Idaho Statesman
      • Favorite quote: “Their task was to ensure that the radioactive materials did not fall into the wrong hands on the way back to Idaho.”
      • Alternate title: INL Specialists Prove They Lack Common Sense. Or something.
      • There’s another option, of course: this was a hand-off and done on purpose. I hope these guys were investigated!
    • SAVED FROM SOCIALISM: U.S. Saves Baby Oliver After U.K. Doctors Said His Heart Couldn’t Be Fixed from The Daily Wire
      • Glad he’s okay. He’s a cutie!
      • This shocks no one who has been paying attention.
      • Favorite quote: They “pull at people’s heartstrings by claiming that pedophiles are misunderstood marginalized people.” No, I’m pretty sure we understand CLEARLY.
      • Proving “don’t talk to strangers” is still good advice!
      • Sigh.

    Answering your questions:

    • Question: Do I need Facebook in order to participate in the Vibrant event?
      • Answer:
        • Short answer: No. 🙂
        • Longer answer: I know this is because Facebook is required for Charlotte Mason Boot Camp. ♥ But the answer is still NO! For the Vibrant event, we are using CrowdCast.

The story about the missing plutonium made me laugh. Sure, maybe it’s a conspiracy, and they are secretly taking plutonium. But San Antonio has a terrible problem with smashed window car break-ins at hotels… Ask me how I know! ?
