Registration is open for the Scholé Sisters Local Retreats on Saturday, September 15, 2018. The theme this year is Learning Well. Like last year, we’re encouraging you all to plan local retreats and have some special bonding time with your local sisters. If you want help with that, go here. As I was reading the articles in Part 6, I wondered what websites you have given or still encourage your older children to read as part of current events.

We’ve done a lot of different things over the years. For a while, my dad gave us a subscription to The Wall St. Journal. That was fun! We have done a lot of it by using Push to Kindle. So they weren’t allowed out on the internet per se, but there were a number of people in their lives authorized to send them articles. What’s nice about Push to Kindle is that it strips all the terrible ads off the sidebars!
We have printed articles for them to read. My oldest listens to a lot of news and commentary podcasts when he is working (he has a janitorial jobs for a few hours each weekend). It’s been adjusted for each child as we’ve gone on. I feel like I’m not doing ENOUGH now, you know? But I haven’t decided how to solve that problem because I still don’t let my younger children surf the net…
